Professional status is determined by what you do, not what you call yourself. If you hold a professional license and practice within, alongside, or in service of the estrangement industry, have published books, maintain a public platform or following of any size, or derive income, audience, or influence from content, coaching, media, or programs built around estrangement, you are not engaging with this work as a private parent. Parental Discard is not estrangement and does not compete with that industry. It is a copyrighted and trademarked body of work and is enforced as one. All use requires written authorization from the author, M.F. Shaw, MSPSY.
