This work exists so parents and families can recognize what is happening to them. If what you have been told is estrangement does not match what you are living through, you are in the right place. The difference between estrangement and Parental Discard changes everything. That recognition is the entire point.

Copyright Infringement
17 U.S.C. § 501. Statutory damages of $750 to $30,000 per work infringed. Up to $150,000 per work for willful infringement. Criminal penalties up to 5 years imprisonment and $250,000 in fines. (17 U.S.C. § 504)
Trademark Infringement
Lanham Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1114. Injunctive relief, disgorgement of profits, treble damages. Statutory damages of $1,000 to $200,000 per mark. Up to $2,000,000 per mark for willful infringement. (15 U.S.C. § 1117)
DMCA Violations
17 U.S.C. § 512. Digital Millennium Copyright Act takedown notices will be filed against any platform hosting infringing content. Platforms are required to remove infringing material upon notice.
Contributory Infringement
Any person or entity that knowingly induces, causes, or materially contributes to the infringing activity of another is liable as a contributory infringer.
Tortious Interference
Intentional interference with business relationships, audience, or the ability of this research to reach its intended audience through suppression, misdirection, or organized counter-operations.
Defamation and Libel
False statements of fact made publicly about this research, its author, or its methodology that damage reputation or credibility.
Misappropriation of Intellectual Property
Taking, using, or benefiting from proprietary research, frameworks, terminology, or content without authorization or attribution.
Unjust Enrichment

Continued use after notification constitutes willful infringement. Willful infringement carries the maximum statutory damages under both copyright and trademark law.
